Teaching Approach

The Master in DESIGN FOR FOOD combines theory and practice, by alternating lectures and hands-on activities, with development of projects and assignments. The teaching plan includes:

    • LECTURES
      Aimed at introducting the main topics of study and at providing tools and methodologies for analysis and design.

    • WORKSHOP
      "Hands-on" activities developed in a laboratorial approach, partly in collaboration with external companies, aimed at the application of tools and methodologies for product-service ideas development.

    • STUDY TRIPS
      Educational trips aimed at approaching the topics investigated, through experiences in real contexts of the food sector.

  • INTERNSHIP
    470 hours of training experience within a partner of the Master or suggested directly by the participants in agreement with the staff coordinating the Master.

Attendance is compulsory for 3 days a week . A maximum absence of 25% is allowed. Withdraw from the course must be submitted in written form. The training period can’t be suspended for any reason. It is forbidden to be enrolled in a University Master's Degree Course and in another course of study activated by another Italian University.

At the end of the course the University Master's Degree in DESIGN FOR FOOD from Politecnico di Milano (60 CFU, equivalent to 60 ECTS) will be awarded.
